Their lies, First encounter (3)

Chapter 3, Crossfire

I can’t sleep. All I can think of is what would happen to me. I decided to go outisde, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the sunrise. I throw on my jumper and sneak out through the window. I turn back to notice that Masky’s not in his bed. He might just be out filling what he calls a ‘quota’. I climb on to the roof. Bright rays of sunshine wrap around me in a warm hug, the sky is a shade of all kinds of reds, oranges and yellows. There was a warm breeze that swayed all around me, filling my lungs with fresh air. I sat down, it must have snowed last night since there was a layer of white, fluffy snow. I drew a little heart in the snow and added an M in the middle. I stopped and kicked it away, because there, sitting in front of me was Masky. I scooped up some snow and crept up behind him. I parted my hands and let it fall on him. “Hey, that’s cold!”. I couldn’t help but laugh. He grabbed my collar and pulled me down until our faces were only a few centimeters apart. “Masky… what are you doing.!?” I tried to move back but his grip was too tight.

He eventually let go and I sat down next to him. “The sun’s beautiful, isn’t it” I whispered as I stared up at the sky. Masky replied, “yeah… beautiful”. I turned to look at Masky but he wasn’t looking at the sun. I froze. “M-Masky, the sun’s in the sky, not on me”. He took of his mask and smiled. “I know that, but the sun’s not the only beautiful thing up here”. I went red as fuck when he said that. I didn’t realise,he thinks I look beautiful. But why, what’s so special about me. “I-I don’t understand, why me?” I started to talk but I was stopped. Masky edged closer, I closed my eyes thinking this was all just a dream. What happened next was probably the best thing in my life. I opened one of my eyes. He put his head against mine, and kissed me.

I was shocked, scared almost. “What was that for?” I spoke in a subtle tone, but he could tell I was confused. “I’ll leave you to think about it.” Masky stood up and left me there. When he had gone back in, I couldn’t help but squeel in delight. I went back through the window to find the room empty. I went out of it and walked around the mansion, but didn’t open any doors. Yep, not doing that again. It was all going fine until… Bang!

I woke up, tied to a chair. My mouth was covered by a piece of cloth. When I fully woken up I could see that… I was naked! A door opened behind me, then shut. A raspy voice came from the dark. “When you laugh, the world laughs along…” I recocgnised that from somewhere, but where?

“But if you cry… the world keeps laughing”. He stepped into the light and pulled of the cloth. “What the hell, where am I!”. He just laughed, then looked at me and smiled. “I believe Jane told you to be careful around me and my stuff.” I looked up to see Laughing Jack, holding the cloth in one hand, a rock in the other. “Well, I’ve caught you, that makes you mine, Masky can’t have you anymore”. I looked up at him in horror. He went off into the dark and wheeled out a table. It was full of tiny flasks with different chemicals inside of them.

Jack went behind me, cut the ropes and pinned me to the ground. I heard a cracking of bones and an excruciating pain in my arms and legs. He ripped my back open, literaly, ripped the skin apart. Ix couldn’t help but scream in pain and agony. “No matter how much you scream, no one will come to save you”. Those words shattered my heart into a thousand pieces. All I could do was lie there as he injected the fluids into my back. It stung like hell. I kept screaming, but like he said, no one would come to save me from this agony. Jack had left the room, probably to get more torture items. I kept crying, the minutes turned to hours, but it felt as if it took days.

The door opened again, I couldn’t move. I was stuck, waiting for the pain to start all over again. A hand touched my back, I screamed, waiting for the rest to come. “Calm down, or he’ll hear you!”. It can’t be… “Masky, h-how’d you find me”. I winced as Masky tried to lift me by my arms.”It’s no use…” The raspy voice came back “Arms and legs are broken, you can’t carry her back”. I was terrified. Would he harm Masky too? I heard a thud, a smashing of bottles and a triumphant cheer.

Someone put a blanket over my back, it still stung but I tried not to scream. I was turned over so I was lying on my back. I could see Jeff, Jane, EJ, Nina and Slendy all looking down at me. I was wrapped up and carried off to a white room. Everyone left except for Nurse Ann. She fixed up my arms so I could sit up properly. “How did you end up in the hands of LJ anyway, I’m quite curious”. I thought about it for a while, but I couldn’t remember anything, just flashes… “I’m..not quite sure myself, the last thing I remembered was being on the roof, after that it’s… fuzzy”.
