Their lies, Her revenge (3)

Chapter 3, New powers

As we entered the Slender mansion, I began to realise how quiet it was. I looked around, it seemed almost abandoned. “Everyone’s probably out filling their quota”, I heard Jeff from behind me. I returned his jumper, even though it meant leaving the comfortable abyss. Walking to my room, I wondered what Jeff meant by ‘quota’. When I got to my room, I ripped off my shirt. “Welp, this is of no use”. I whispered, chucking it in the trash. I didn’t have any spares, so I put my jumper over my bra and went out.

Walking around the mansion, I could see a lot of colored doors. As I walked past many others, I couldn’t help but notice some sort of music coming from one. The door was a dark green, with glitches painted onto it. I opened the door and froze. “What . The . Actual . Fuck.” I saw Ben on his bed, the room was filled with glowing dark matter, green glitches surrounded him. Ben was just casually playing on his DS, it’s as if he didn’t notice that his room is literally surrounded by dark matter. He looked up from his game and dropped his device. “S-s-sorry, I-I didn’t realise, I should’ve knocked”, I stumbled on my words. God, I sounded like a moron. Ben turned of his game, and the walls came back.

“So… you wanna come in or what?” he asked, patting next to him. I cautiously stepped in, I was scared the ground would wallow me up if I wasn’t careful, but it didn’t. I sat down and we actually had a nice conversation. “So, how did you create those glitchy things, I’m curious?” / “What, this?” He held out his palm and out came the same glitches that were in the room earlier. “I guess I was given this power when I died.” Hold up, did he say died. He doesn’t look dead to me. I stared at him, confused and shocked. “Yeah, I ended up drowning because a few idiots from my school thought it would be funny to tie heavy metal cubes to me and chuck me off of a cliff into open ocean.”

I felt bad for him, drowning is probably one of the most scariest ways to die. After a few minutes I went back to my room. On my bed I saw a midnight black T-shirt and a note. The note said ‘Hey, thought you might need this, dunno if it’ll fit you -Jeff’. I took off my hoodie and slipped into the shirt, it was a bit big, but it fit none the less. I sat down, pondering on what to do next. It had been a while since I’d seen Ace, I wonder if he’s alright. I picked up my phone and tried to call him. “Hello, who is it?” I could hear Ace’s voice, he sounded tired and out of breath. “Hey Ace,it’s me, Faith, how’s life?” There was a moment of silence. “Faith, listen, I’ve run away from the mansion, I’ve left you some stuff in your bag. I’m sick of their shit”, said Ace, a hint of hatred in his voice. I ended the call, I was so pissed of at him but… sad at the same time. I curled up into a ball, hiding my face in shame. How could he just abandon me without any warning?

My head was spinning, my breathing was heavy, I felt nauseous. I lay down on the bed, trying to cloud my mind from the truth, but truth was the cloud, hiding my happy memories. I hugged my tail, I knew it’d get me into heat but I didn’t care. It was getting hotter and hotter, I didn’t care though. All I needed to do was get myself into heat without moaning. Then I’d only be able to concentrate on the pain. The temptation was unbearable, I couldn’t, I shouldn’t… I wouldn’t. My body heat was starting to cool down, I’ve done it. Pain shot through me like a bullet in the heart. Silent tears came rolling down.

I could hear footsteps coming towards me. I kept looking at the window, hoping the ground would swallow me up. Someone sat down on the bed and nudged my shoulder. I whimpered, this wasn’t helping at all. “Hey, get up”, I could hear Jeff whisper into my ear. I looked at him, trying to hide the pain. But even if I had worn a mask, he could still see through my disguise. “What’s up, something bothering you?” I sat up, I couldn’t tell him what happened, not now. “Umm… girly stuff, you wouldn’t understand” / “Faith, I had a mother, and I live with girls, don’t give me that bullshit”.

I had to tell him, even though I would regret this for the rest of my life. “I-I’m in heat…” Jeff just looked at me as if to say ‘what’s that’. “It’s something that girls like me and Kat can get since we’re animal hybrids, I told you, you wouldn’t understand.” / “Maybe if you explain what it is I would understand”. I heard footsteps coming from the hallway. Kat came in through the door, grabbed my arm and practically dragged me out of my room. We went to the rooftop. “Faith, why are you in heat?”
